Hello. I have a 2004 4.6 liter 2 wheel drive. I had my transmission pan dropped and cleaned , put in new filer. But my issue is how much fluid to put back in. I have lost the dipstick.

 

I know it is crazy someone losing their dipstick but it has happened to me. I just need to know how much fluid to put back in. I need to get out of the physical place I am . Won't be able to purchase a new one until tomorrow or even the day after. Does anyone have advice for me. Please.

 

If all you did was drop the pan, 5 quarts should be enough to get it running.
