Alternator upgrade

Is there any reason the Quality-Built 11430 alternator will not work on my 2006 F-150 XLT ? Same fit but it`s not listed to work with the F-150.

If the mounting's the same and the plugs are the same, maybe the gauge on the wiring from the alt to the battery is too small. Pretty easy to fix if that's the case.

Yes it's the exact same amount and the same three prong hook up I already upgraded the wiring because I have some stereo equipment it's been a truck for years.
