Intermittent Brake Vibration

Hey guys, need some help on an very random brake issue. 2006 150 4wd, 150,000 miles. I have a very random brake shudder, like once every two-three weeks for 15-20 minutes at a time. In the middle of a trip it will start shuddering very hard on braking (more violent than a warped rotor) and then a continued vibration once you let off the brake peddle. Vibration lessens in a couple miles but if you hit the brake again you get a violent shudder followed by vibration for a mile or two. This will go on for 10-15 miles and then stop and back to normal. I had the front rotors, pads, hoses, and calipers replaced. Headed to the rear brakes next unless someone points me in a different direction.

I'm assuming the shudder is in the front and you feel it in the steering wheel? Did you check the brakes to see if they are abnormally hot afterwards? Since you have replaced the front brakes, I'd do a good inspection of the front suspension and steering components, tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.

Yes, you can feel it in the wheel. Really it is much stronger than normal pulsing feel you get from a bad rotor, the vibration once you let off the brake is much lighter but you can for sure feel it and feels brake induced as it lightens until you brake again. The problem is that it eventually goes away and bake to normal brake feel and is really random, like once every two weeks this happens.

Could it be the ABS kicking in when it shouldn't?

Could be caliper pins that are binding and need cleaned and lubed.
