I have an 06 STX 4x4 with the 4.6l V8. I always figured a thief would forgo my truck for a nicer trim model. Regardless, a friend of mine got his truck stolen and got stuck with a dismal insurance payout. So I realized that my truck is probably more valuable to me than what it is actually worth.

Does anyone have information about the theft statistics for this generation of truck? What models and trims are targeted? Weak points that a thief might exploit? And what could I do to make my truck harder to steal?
