Ordered a replacement alt from Rock auto, it came yesterday, so I installed it , reconnected the battery and it charges as advertised, its a 135 amp alt as the truck has A/c and power windows and door locks.
Problem is the battery light wont g off, do any of you guys have any idea why? alt charges, battery accepts the charge and I'm clueless at this point, everything is connected and tight

 

If I remember right there are different voltage regulators available for these. It may fit but not interface with your electronics correctly. Many times the rebuilder will have a phone number to call for charge problems.
