IM gasket will sure do that. It's not too heavy a wrenching job. Just that reconnecting the vacuum line from back of IM to the Brake Booster is a pita. But if this ole stove up seventy year old can do it, I'm betting you could too.

When you're ready for reassembly, set the manifold down in place, then **** it up a little and reach underneath it to reinstall the vacuum line. Also pay attention to the routing of the knock sensor wires. They route between the IMRC linkage and manifold.

I guess I can't say 'c*ck', LOL. Tilt the manifold up and reach underneath...

I was messing around with the vapor cannister purge valve yesterday. I took a line off and sprayed carb cleaner through it and reconnected the hoses. The idle smoothed out and it quit dying . I wonder If that could have caused all this? CEL still on.
