Difficult to Steer

400 miles from home the truck suddenly started to become hard to steer. Just replaced the power steering lines and flushed the system 2,000 miles ago because those were leaking at 103,000 miles. Steering was fine after the replacements until last night. Drove it home 400 miles and its horrible to drive especially in town. The problem does not appear to be the pump. I just rebuilt the whole front-end about 15,000 miles ago so I'm pretty sure it isn't the tire rod ends, ball joints, etc (I didn't look yet, was too tired) Any ideas what this could be? Any help would be appreciated. Once I get this fixed I'm selling the truck outright with 105,000 miles on the clock. Might as well have a payment because then at least I'd be driving something new with a warranty and more comfort. I spend at least a few hundred on this truck with repairs every month if I'd divide my yearly repair costs by 12. Totally unacceptable and I don't even used it for a daily driver. Biggest money pit I ever owned.

Try lubing the steering shaft u-joints. Common problem on these trucks.

Check the PS fluid level of course. Have you added fluid in the past with "seal conditioner"? If so, it may have softened the seals and hoses and may be why the hoses had to be replaced.
