I posted about this months ago with no replys. My 07' F150 does the same exact thing. I've replaced the pad and checked the door jam wire harness for breaks with no luck.

believe all that pad does is ground pins to the BCM. Did you check the wires from the BCM(all 5) and make sure they are a good 5V at all times? Maybe you have a intermittent connection.

The pad just goes directly to the BCM.

My 2006 crew cab has a similar problem. I just purchased the truck and the last two pad buttons will not light up pad or lock door when pushed simultaneously. I removed the key pad from door and cleaned it up to no avail. Purchased a new one from Ford for $78 only to have the identical problem. Now I probably have two working units with an underlying problem elsewhere. At wits end.

Did you pull back the rubber boot in the door jam to look for broken wires? It's one of the most common failures.

On mine all the keys light up and they all blink when pressed randomly even pressing the last two together lock the doors. It would really be a cool feature if it worked.

BCM is behind back seat on the cab wall.

All 5 wires are +5V at all times. Makes sure that is what you are getting. When you push the button, it grounds that pin and tells the BCM you pushed it.

Maybe one of those lines is intermittently shorted to ground?

Are any or all of the key pad lights lighting up when pushed?
