I want my headlights to turn off when the key is in the "off" position.
Welp, I spent about $3 on a Piezo buzzer and a diode.
I tied it into the parking light because it is always on if the lights are on.
The parking light shares a fuse with several other things and the fuse is always hot, so I had to find the specific wire for it coming out of the fuse box. There are several plug-in connectors coming out of the fuse panel, this plug was located above the fuse panel and I believe its was the only square plug with 4 wires. The parking light is the top left wire, brown.
I was able to tap into the wire without splicing anything, instead I inserted a male blade connector bent at 90 degrees into the rear of the wiring harness plug (I hope that make sense)
For the floating ground, I tapped the fuse that runs the ignition coil.
Most people probably wont find this information valuable since you all probably fix your trucks correctly, thus avoiding the need for a buzzer. But if you need one, it was simple and cheap. I can post pictures if people are interested.
