I have a 2007 F150 XLT super crew. I replaced the drivers side door actuator two weeks ago and three days ago I had to replace the drivers side door lock cylinder, the clip on the back stripped off. Now after replacing the lock cylinder the door ajar light stays on and the drivers power door lock won't work. When the drivers door is open the other three doors will not work either, just a static sound is heard from all three doors, but when the door is closed the three other doors will lock and unlock with the door switch and the key fob. I tried the wd40 trick to no avail and even replaced the door ajar switch to no avail. I checked all the wiring in the door and the problem area between the door and the body with nothing found. Does anyone have an idea where to go from here? Thank you in advanced.

 

I have problem with my car door as it's not been opened completely.I asked the dealer about it and they told me to replace the door actuator.The cost is very high to replace it. Whether i should consult it with Locksmith or replace it from the dealer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

The driver's side control controls (supplies power to) all the other door switches. Try replacing the driver's side control first, and the other switches may start working.

Also, maybe you accidentally disconnected the plug to the door ajar switch? Or it also needs replacing.
