Hi i have a new body style 04 f150 5.4 fx4 with the center console shifter. I was wondering of anyone else had any transmission "lag" or similar issues. When i put it into gear it takes a couple seconds to react just seems sloppy to me. Rolls back in reverse as if it were a standard. Are these transmissions known for this or maybe just the center console shifter. Just hoping any of you guys could help me out thanks!

 

When was the last time you did a fluid exchange?

 

I havent yet just bought it in Aug. It now has 138k. Ive checked it it looks fine. You think old fluid would make it do this?
