Fuel relay/fuse 2005 f150 5.4
Sorry about that, this is what happens when you keep opening new threads. Someone else has a thread going right now on a very similar issue and did post a pic of the FPDM. Pull yours down and check it!
P0183 is Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit High Input.
Possible causes
- Faulty Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor
- Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
From what I can find out, it's combined with the fuel pressure sensor and is attached to the fuel rail. It's an $85 part, it has an electrical connector and a vacuum line on it. However, if it's only throwing a P0183, this shouldn't cause your specific issue, it's a lot more likely the FPDM. It wouldn't hurt to clean and reseat the electrical connector and make sure the vacuum line isn't cracked, mushy, or broken.

Yeah motorcraft is factory doorman is just aftermarket they didn't call for two different types if it's not right I'll just take it back its from Napa. I like to have my parts ready when I take one off to put the other right on.
The reason I asked is the Dormans have a very high failure rate. You get what you pay for, it's 1/2 the price of a Motorcraft. Dormans can be had for around $55, Motorcrafts are over $100. The Dorman WILL work, as long as it's not bad out of the box. Make sure you clean the crossmember thoroughly and use the standoffs in the kit to prevent corrosion. Read over the thread I linked in post #2.

I hope so I went and pulled the old one off just a min ago and it is a little corroded on the back but the plastic is busted between it and the housing and you can see dirt all inside there so surely that's my problem
At least you caught the FPDM before it did die. If you want to replace the sensor rockauto.com stocks them, Motorcraft part number CM5230, Ford part number 5C3Z9G756AA, $96.99 plus shipping.
