Hey guys. I'm wanting to replace my stock differential with an Eaton truetrac. My axle code is B6 which is the 3.73LS. So I should need the Eaton 913A477 truetrac differential. I work on my own trucks but never a differential. I think I'm going to safe myself the headache of measuring backlash and such and have a shop install it for me.


Is this a simple pull the stock one out and put the Eaton in? Do I need to buy anything else other than the differential itself? Do I need a master install kit? I want to have everything I need and just pay the shop for the labor.


I just started researching prices. What is the best place to buy the Eaton at?
