Front diff carrier

Does anyone know if the front diff carrier changed from 05 to 06. I found a stock 4.10 front carrier for an 06. My trucks an 05 but i feel it may be different. I can prolly get it and install myself and save a couple bills over buying new gears and paying for install.

Well, I bought a used front carrier from a wrecked 05 F150 with 4.10 factory gears. Now I just need to order a 4.10 R&P and an install kit for the rear. Any tips on front carrier removal?

I finally got 4.10s installed front and rear and am breaking them in. 466 miles to go! I went with motive rear gears and royal purple 75w140. Now just to order a programmer to correct the speedo and odo!

I'm 100 miles into break in period and can def. tell a difference. I'm trying to take it easy but the wet roads make it hard.
