PS fluid level?

Says should be between min and max. But the canister in the engine has a black top and white sides. I can't see where the fluid line is. Anyone have any better ideas?

Maybe this sounds stupid. But I can't figure it out.

Hey.

If it's difficult to see, light if from behind - the reservoir is translucent.

Man -- that should be easy to see. If you can't see the fluid line, I'm thinking that's not a good sign.....

FWIW -- I just had the power steering fluid on my wife's '05 Escape flushed and replaced the power steering belt as well. I am flabbergasted at how much better the system performs with the work done!

I did this service originally at 70,000 miles, and I was right at 139,000 this time around, so basically I'm running a 70,000 mile interval for this service.

Thanks for the replies. I dipped a q tip just past the top of reservoir and there was fluid on it. So it's definitely not low. I just wanted to top off just in case.

I'll try shining a light on the other side, it really seems to me that my reservoir isnt see through. I'll look more into it and take a pic.

Hey.

In your case, I suspect like everything else you do, yer fluid is pristine and hence basically clear. It's a LOT easier to see for most other folks since their fluid is a nasty dark molasses colour, having been in the vehicle undisturbed fer 70,000 miles

Haha.

Actually, 94k on the original fluid. Since its mercon v in there, it was red. But it was not dirty looking at all. Looked just like new fluid to me.

You know me, I like to just replace stuff, just because. Haha

Hahahaha. It's ok, you're spot on with your replies all the time anyway. You deserve some slack.
