Hey whats up everyone here is my build thread on my 06 XLT. I had the truck about 3 years and have been slowly doing things here and there and finally I have gotten around to making a build thread on it. I have had a few custom cars in my past that I have gotten rid of due to buying a house (main reason I got the truck) getting married and having a baby. I def love my truck and will never go back to a car lol. Anyway here are some pics and info..

Nice truck there! How dark of tint you running on the front windows? I would love to run something like that but I would be a heat score for the cops around here.

Thanks! The front windows are 15% to match the factory tony and then I also have the whole front windshield tinted 30%

Nice work. Looks good. I'm heading down the same road with a new to me 07 screw. Leveling kit, some PTM mirrors and handles, tuner, tint and an audio system.

Are those mrp 500.1's?
Do you have a sound clip of that sub?

Thanks! I'm running a mrp 500 for my sub and a mrp 300 for my highs. I really like both Amos! They are nice and small so they can fit anywhere. I don't have any sound clips sorry..

That new bumper an aftermarket one?

Thanks! Yep it's an aftermarket one I got new off eBay. I was a little worried about fitment but it fit perfect! I have pics of it painted and installed that I will post later tonight after I upload the rest of my pics.

Okay, I'm pretty much sold now! I'm gonna look at a few junk yards, but I'll likely just get an aftermarket one now after hearing a few folks say that same thing.

We must have similar taste, cause I did PTM mirror caps, door handles, emblems, badges, and headlights. I have a DDX series Kenwood too, but a lower end one haha. I need some glossy pillar covers and I need to amp my door speakers though. It's rare that I actually like every single thing someone did to their truck.

also - superb job on those bumpers etc. what paint you use?

My buddy is a painter and painted everything including tinting the tails at his work.

Looking good. What did you use to clean it? I've really only cleaned mine twice. Hate pressure washing due to the coils. But that's the only times I've done it, when I've been able to remove the coils and dry them out afterwards. It's really a pain.

Here's a link to the method I used and it worked great! I just made sure that when I sprayed down the engine with the hose to stay away from the coils.

Got some goodies for Christmas. Harley style heads and led cubes that will replace my factory fogs..

What did you use for your glossy pillars? It's amazing what a difference they make in the look of the truck!

Thanks! I got the glossy pillars off ebay. They are just thin covers that have double sided tape that go on top of the factory pillars. Here is a link to some I fpumf on eBay. I don't know if this is the same person I got mine from or not as I got mine a few years back.
