squeak in dash

i have a squeak in right front of dash where passenger window window pillar comes down and meets the dash and extends to windshield. i have tried putting wood, cardboard, in dash crack between dash molding,, which all seem to fall down. it's probably just a clip somewhere that came loose. called dealer to see what they would want,, he said they would have to rip apart whole dash to get there and it would be around $1200,, you got to be kidding i told him,, for a squeak ? any ideas besides putting up the radio ?? this is the ONLY SQUEAK this trk ever developed in the 10 yrs i have had her. great trk otherwise. john
