A/C Temp ****

Was cleaning my truck today and my 6year old daughter pulled the A/c temp **** off.
My question is she was turning the **** shaft with out the **** on so it keep turning and didn't stop I put the **** on the shaft but how do I know if it's on the correct meaning how do I know when I have it on the coldest setting it is actually at the coldest setting and not off.

Thanks

If its the temp ****...I woudl have thought the limits were set in the switch and not the **** but not something I've ever verified. The **** electronically controls the blend door. If you want to be precise and protect your blend door motor from burning up, rent an inspection camera and snake it up the passenger side center vent until you reach the plenum that houses the heater core and belnd door. Fully hot, door all the way open to expose the heater core. Fully closed, door is shut.

But I am a little confused because the temp **** does not turn anything on or off.

I saw a post about re calibrating the blend door by removing the number 5 and 13 fuse for at least 30sec then putting them back then turn on the ignition for 30secs with out touching the a/c controls. Just did it a little while ago so hope it works.
