Programming FOB's across years?
I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to program both of our vehicles off of the same FOB.
We bought a 2014 Taurus Limited over the weekend which has the push button start and fancy fob/key combo that looks like a key chain.
I also have a 2008 Kiing Ranch with what I believe is a dealer installed, OEM Ford remote start. I have a 3 button remote for the doors and alarm and a one button remote for the remote start.
If possible I would LIKE to program the F150 to use the Taurus's FOB, replacing both the 3 button and 1 button fobs. That way I can combine key rings and not look like a school janitor (and yes I'm aware we would be unlocking both at the same time, etc.). Question 1, Does this sound doable? Question 1a - I have found the procedures for programming the doors to another fob, I can't find the procedures for the remote start. Best I found was how to change system settings. Does anyone have instructions on remote start fob programming?

Wound up with some free time tonight to play with it. To answer my own question, it did work though I decided to nix combining remote start fobs so we can start the vehicles seperately at the house. I will be using the instructions found on here to make my remote start a little more useful!
One odd side effect, when I lock or unlock with the 2014 fob my seat motor jumps for a split second. The 2008 fob does not. Tested several times. Bizarre but I can live with it.
