06 Mark LT No Brake Lights.

Hello my 06 does not have brake lights, they just stop working. I have blinker lights and hazard lights work. So my question is can it be the brake switch our the fuse? Is the fuse the same one that controls blinker lights? Any help would be great.

the fuse question would be easily answered by the owners manual.

If the Brake switch was not functioning then you could not put it in drive.
Can you put it in drive?

Have you tried new bulbs? I think they use separate elements for braking (but I'm not sure about that)

Have you done anything recently with the trailer wiring? Or have you towed recently? A short in the trailer wires could be part of this failure.

Quick update I unplugged the brake pedal switch and connected it back and the brake lights comes one some times only, so do I need to buy a new switch?
