The BCM and ECU are not directly wired in to the radio because they are typically on the HS-CAN Bus. The ICM is the gateway between the HS-CAN and MS-CAN networks in many vehicles but not the F-150. This is the reason the Clarion navigation will not fire up.

A simple review of the Ford wiring diagrams will show you that it will not work. Specifically Section 14. I'm confused as to what repinning you want to do, as the few things the Clarion needs to operate are already in the correct pin locations. There is just no messaging to make the Clarion run.

Im working on a install too. Havent made a mock up harness yet. I was told it was an 09 unit, so we'll see....

 

It WILL take more than repining a harness - but I guess I can't blame you guys for not trusting someone you don't know.

 

Your message isn't falling on deaf ears. I'm just a stubborn SOB. Look at any of my install threads I make things work that normally shouldn't work together.

 

Looks like you can now install an 09+ nav into a 04-08 F-150!
