06 F150 towing

Newbie here, have a 2006 4x4 F150 with 5.4 and 3:73 rear gear. I have a fifth wheel I need to haul to a local campground about 25 miles from here. Will it handle a 1960 pound pin weight for that short of a trip? Camper weighs about 12,000 pounds. I only have to tow it twice a year, once to and once back.

Not even close. If you only have to tow it twice a year, rent a proper truck or find a friend that has a properly equipped truck. You can rent a truck several times for what it would cost you to install a 5th wheel hitch and beef everything up - and you would still be way over limits and you would have this big old pin box eating space in your bed.

Ask the campground to move it - typically they have a truck to move them and if you are paying a seasonal rent they might do it for free. Or buy the owner a case of beer.

or find a camper dealer to move it.

I work at the campground, and we have nothing to move it with. I do have friends that will either let me use their truck or do it for me. I just like being independent, but the next truck will definitely be at least a 250. Thanks.
