Carbon in head

Hey guys been doing a lot of reading the last few days so thought I'd join. Just picked up an 04 fx4 that I've been working on. I've started the spark plug job but had a question. I've got my plug out and there is a lot if corrosion/carbon left in the head. Do you guys try to clean that well the plug extension sits in before installing the new plugs? I'm worried about shoving all that junk into the motor but Im afraid of my new plugs seizing up early as well.

If the junk is dry, vacuum it out. Make a small tube attached to your vac hose to go down in the chamber. If you use a liquid cleaner, change the oil.

This. When i changed mine I had both a compressor with blow gun and a shop vac with a small tube attached. I would blow and vac before removing the plug and the vac it out after plug removal
