UPDATE: So I finally got to take my Truck in yesterday. I was called late yesterday afternoon and told it was the lifters not the lashers but the difference in price was only 20ish dollars. I was like ok fine, then was called today and said that it was fixed. I went up there to get it got in the truck drove it all of maybe 1 mile down the road to the kids daycare and jumped out and guess what SAME SOUND HAPPENING. I took it straight back and was told repeatedly that it was "quiet as a church mouse" when they test drove it. So the truck is back in the shop and who the hell knows whats going to happen next. I will keep all of you update.

There are only 3 main parts that move. The rocker. The lifter/lash (same thing) and the valve spring assembly. My dad's truck (04) trashed a lifter at like 50k miles. We fixed it at home and its now at 180k. His truck is quiet with just the injectors making the normal sound.
If you drive it like it is, it will destroy parts. If the rocker was damaged, chances are that it damaged the cam. That sound is not normal.

IDK that it is a huge problem, but it happens. My 06 is fine, but I don't have many miles.

Google search 5.4 lifter - you will find tons of info.

The lower one is a destroyed rocker.

Well I went ahead and changed out my VCT's and yes they were the older versions and yes it does run better. However I am getting a noise still. Here is an updated video. Let me know what you think.

Sounds like an exhaust manifold leak to me. Mine made a sound just like yours and it turned out to be a loose header bolt on the driver side.

That was my first thought. Passenger side manifold.

Hmmm, I didn't know the 2005's had rectangular fog lights, I thought that was 2004 only, learn something every day.

Sounds like an exhaust manifold to me as well. In your video, it almost looks like a soot trail between the manifold and valve cover on the passenger side. Can you verify this? Usually manifold noise will get quieter on these engines from cold to warm, as the manifolds heat and expand. But, you could also have broken studs or completely blown out gaskets, in which case it'll noisy, regardless of temp.

The video was taken at full temp.
