F-150 from Govdeals

Just bought this F-150 from Govdeals, after perusing for a while. I paid through the nose, but wanted a bare bones F-150 4.6 Supercab that was fleet-maintained with some life left in it. Any thoughts on how I did price-wise?

I sent the funds, and am waiting on an auto transport to deliver.

You overpaid a bit, private party book on that is 7 grand at best, probably less.

I agree. As I said, I paid through the nose. I wanted one that was fleet maintained, and it's spec'd pretty much the way I wanted it, except for cruise. I believe I can add just the switches to the existing steering wheel, and re-program the PCM through a tuner. If not, there are plenty of replacement steering wheels with cruise out there.

I also don't have a whole lot of time to kick tires and shop around.

Thanks for your response. Nice to know I didn't miss the mark on price by much.

I've got a black leather steering wheel with the cruise switches for sale. The leather is pretty worn around the top, but the switches are in good shape.

Interested?

I would agree that the price you paid was a tad high, but not so much so that I would lose any sleep over it. If you're happy and it ends up being a good truck for you, then you'll come out fine in the end.

The toolbox and side boxes add a little more value. Resell the tool boxes if you don't need them.

I appreciate it. I'll buy the switches new.

That's about the way I see it. Thanks. I don't have a lot of spare time, and I bought this one without a personal inspection. That's the best I could do. I needed a second vehicle, pretty soon, and had been looking for a while.

That's the plan. I figure they should bring $250 pretty easily. I'm planning on waiting for a deal on a used matching tonneau cover. Just missed one locally on Craigslist.
