Satellite radio upgrade

I have an '05 F-150 Lariat that has the 6-disc cd/mp3 player installed that contains the "AUX" button but has no factory Sirius radio installed. I have seen OEM and after-market satellite kits that claim to be "plug and play" and was wondering if anyone has any experience in this?

I have read that the AUX button alone does not guarantee that your radio is satellite ready, is there an easy way to be able to tell if your radio will, in fact, accept the satellite receiver properly?

I've done it without any major hassle; I used the system that goes into the antenna plug. The biggest problem was routing the satellite antenna wire. Can't answer your question about determining if the OEM radio is already XM compatible, sorry.
