Front End Time - UCAs, Ball Joints, Bushings - suggestions/tips??
Front End Time - UCAs, Ball Joints, Bushings - suggestions/tips??
Tires are ordered ........ I know one of my upper ball joints needs replacing so I'm doing all 4 plus a few bushings.
Moog UCAs, lower ball joints, lower bushings, stabilizer bushings, stabilizer end links are ordered. (inner tie rod ends were replaced with Moog a couple of years ago)
Any suggestions / tips / etc. ?????
I've read quite a bit ..... the only tip I've got is to replace the zerks on the lower ball joints with 90 zerks in order to service (I just checked the pic on the Moog site and apparently is now ships with a 90 degree zerk
)
BTW
--Goodyear DuraTrac 275/70-18s - $1090 to the door from discount tire direct
--Moog UCAs, lower ball joints, lower CA bushings, stabilizer bushing kit, stabilizer end links - $307 total to the door from rockauto
NOTE: I'm replacing Firestone Destination MTs with about 50,000 on them. They have a little life left but something cut the heck out of the passenger rear on a gravel road last weekend. It has a cut to the plys and up the side and puncture/gash through the sidewall........ so I'm going ahead and doing all 4.

Check your coil springs, replace the struts, (and springs if needed). If you replace the springs, do yourself a favor and go back with OEM springs for your VIN.... There is a huge variation in spring rates on these trucks apparently, too soft of a spring for your specific truck and the nose dips, bad...
Might want to take a peek at those brakes while you have the wheels off too...
