DRL wiring connection

Hello, My first post. My first FORD!! I am no longer a GM guy. But thats another story.

I got this 05 F150 XLT about a week ago and doing some fixing up on it. The DRL's have had the wires cut and I cannot see where they are supposed to connect to on the truck. Some instruction, a picture, or a diagram would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Where the DRL wires were cut is something that is needed to pin it down closer.

Here are the diagrams for the DRL circuit.

The DRL's that were in the truck when I got it had been modified by someone drilling a hole in the back of the housing and glueing in a bulb. I suppose they didnt want to buy an original bulb. So the only wires I have for the DRL's are the couple inches of wiring coming from the back of the DRL housing. I see nowhere for them to connnect.

But,

Im wondering if this truck ever had lower bumper DRL's. I looked at a buddys 2005 Lariat today and my truck does not have any pigtails like his where I would plug in any kind of DRL or fog light. Did some models not have the lower DRL's in the lower bumper? Maybe someone replaced the bumper from a model that did have DRL's .

I have already ordered OEM replacement housings and bulbs. I might made a mistake doing that. I can always rig up a relay and switch to operate them I suppose. Or somehow wire them into the existing lighting system.

sorry for the delay, been a bit busy.

What you have there sounds like someone put strobe flashers in the headlamps.

The DRLs use the highbeam side of the bulb, so there is no additional wiring or bulb at the headlamp unit itself.
- That is why asked where they were cut, as it would need to have been at the aux fuse panel in the truck, and without the wiring diagrams, it would have been difficult to ID they were cut.

sorry to say, you don't have DRLs that have been disabled in your F150.
