I has a 2.5" leveling kit installed with Fuel Throttle wheels (20") and 295/60/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I didn't notice any major issues on my old wheels and tires (stock) and now I have a pretty significant shaking in the steering wheel when around 50-60mph. It doesn't make a difference if I hit a bump or if I'm on pretty smooth pavement. It doesn't sound or feel like the death wobble I have read about, but just wondering if anyone has any ideas? The shop where I had the work done has rebalanced and tried centering devices on it with no change. They put stock wheels back on the front and it went away, but it's hard to tell since it doesn't happen all the time. I have driven it 30 miles or so since I last picked it up and it hasn't done it once.
It is the balance of the new wheels/tires. Have the tire dealer do a road force balance of the tires. If they do not have the ability to do that, then you definitely need to find a better tire dealer. They all should be able to do that.
I took it to Ford and mine were 52lbs FL, 39 FR, 36 RL and 8 RR. What is acceptable? Nitto said they won't honor warranty based on road force testing, but the shop is going to. Getting new tires put on next week.
I may be mistaken, but the one time I had a problem with an OE tire and Ford did road force balance, they stated that the cut-off was 25.
Take a look at this, it gives some good tech info on the road force balance. I believe it is pounds from reading this.

Thx everyone. I took it back and got 4 new tires yesterday and it is perfect now. The guy that performed the work said the new tires didn't require near as much weight to balance also. From what they said it is very rare to get bad Nitto's, but stranger things have happened I guess.
