I wonder why there are so many choices of tail gate caps to choose from for Chevy & Dodge trucks, but little or none for a 2007 or 2008 FX2. I find one or 2 stainless steel. I would like a good quality plastic one in black. If I am, wrong, someone please show me some good options. My truck lost it's tail gate cap. thanks

stage 3 have a nice small winged cap for 55$ (need paint)

 

The reason there are so few to choose from is because it's a tailgate cap! It's made to resist the impact from boards/cargo hitting it, not as a fashion accessory. Some of the caps have a bit of a lip on them, but for the most part it's all the same.

Most of the GM caps up until the new body style were put on with double-sided tape, and were more of a scratch guard than an actual cap.
