Just replaced Phasers, Need a little help.

I have a 2004 f-150 5.4l 75,000 miles

The phasers used to be very noisy then the truck suddenly stopped running.

After tearing it down I found one of the rockers had jumped off of the cam on the driver side and locked it up. I know there is a risk of debris in the engine but I opted to try to repair it.

both tensioner gaskets were torn in the usual place, I believe that this is the ultimate cause due to low oil pressure that led to poor timing that led to the rocker popping off.

I have replaced the cam shaft, both tensioners both phasers, the valve spring and keeper that were damaged and the timing chain rails. The cam channels were undamaged.

The problem I am having is:
After everything was timed up I tried to turn the motor over with a wrench on the crankshaft and it jumped time. This worried me and now i am hesitant to try and start it for fear of causing damage. I had the spark plugs out by the way.

Why would it jump time like that? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Silly question but did you remove the locking clips on the new tensioners?

There was a little bit of slack in the timing chains after I replaced my tensioners and phasers as the tension is built up via oil pressure. I turned by hand a few times and it was ok.

Use light pressure with a pry bar behind the chain to help the tensioner to pull out to full length.

Turn it over a few times by hand and verify

Making sure the clips were out was the first thing I checked. Surprisingly I hadn't forgotten to pull them lol.

I will give the pry bar a try. thanks!

Are these motors interference?
