Instrument panel jiggles when turned on

Hello all,

Recently my instrument panel started ticking when it turned on. It also jiggles for a few seconds before it gets back to normal. I have linked a youtube video showing it. You don't hear it, but you do see it. Is this a sign of it about to go out on me?

My truck did the same when the battery was going out.

It's telling you the battery is fading. Change it out before you get stranded.

Mine does that every time my battery drains (which happens often because I have something draining on it and cant seem to find it)

Go grab a new battery, because like Jim said your going to get stranded

If you don't believe us, just go over to a parts store and get the battery tested. It does not have to be removed to test it, they do it on vehicle in the parking lot free of charge.

I will do that and get it tested. Thanks. It's a yellow top battery and it's only been about 3 years since I've had it. My second one. Something must be draining it since it's attached to a good sound system with two amps.

Thanks for your responses.

Wouldn't surprise me - Optimas are nothing like they used to be.

The best AGM batteries these days are Odyssey/Die Hard Platinum.

Yep. Cold cranking was down to 226. The place I took it to said X2 is a good battery and that optima has fallen by the wayside.

My Duralast Gold crapped out exactly 1 week after the 3 year free replacement warranty was up. The guy at my local Autozone fudged the paperwork for me and gave me a new battery. Good thing he did - the battery I paid 90 bucks for 3 years prior was up to $132. If I'm going to pay that much for a battery I'll spend more and get an Odyssey.
