Autolamp Control loose wire?
Autolamp Control loose wire?
Hey everybody, hows it going, first time posting on the site. Signed up a while ago, never got the whole profile thing done. Curently have a 2004 Yellow Super cab fx4 with the luxary package and flare side. Ive done a few modifications myself, and a lot of the posts on here have always been a big help. But now I am a little lost. I do electronics for a living so troubleshooting and tracing shouldnt be an issue. My autolamp control keeps bugging out. i have read several posts on here with it being all different kinds of things, and just looking for where to search, physically on the truck and maybe what components if anybody else has had the same thing happen. If I have the switch on auto and the truck is in rest, they will usually turn on, along with the gauges on the inside. But while driving the will start to flicker and most times stay off until next resting for a while. This kind of says its something loose, and not the light sensor then. Well my window switch was also having a hard time with the contacts getting the dust cooked on them (which i read somewhere on this site at one point), well after cleaning the terminals and testing them on the window before reinstalling, around 630-7ish at night so the ALC should work, the lights would be on at first, but while plugging in the wires for the window switch I noticed the lights would keep twitching on and off and could hear the relay clicking in sync with that. So I feel like its a loose wire thats on the same circuit as the windows, and was just looking for input, and/or a way to solve it? Thanks.
