Replacement Battery Advise?
The other morning I did not like how the stock MotorCraft battery in my 2008 F-150 Harley Davidson sounded on a morning start. I'm gonna definetly replace this battery with the onset of winter comming here in the north east.
I have decided between two replacements.
1. Sears DieHard Platinum Group size 65 930 cca $229.99
2. Interstate Mega-Tron Plus Group size 65 850cca $150.95
Does anybody have any experience with either of these? Pro's/Cons?
Thanks!

I have the Interstate currently in my 2004. It has been there since opening weekend of Deer season in 2008 when my OEM battery died on my at the worst possible moment. Same went for the Interstate in my old Ranger, and the Jeep CJ7 before that, and the Toyota Celica I had in college, see a trend?
Honestly I have been wanting to try one of those Die Hard Platinums, or an Optima Yellow Top, however the Die Hard offers a MUCH stronger battery than I can find in the Optima line...
Yes the Die Hard costs quite a bit more, but for heavy use it might just be the ticket.

If you do any research you'll find there are only 3 battery makers in the US. The two you have listed are made by Johnson Controls. JC also makes the Walmart brand batteries and are the highest rated in the USA now. They also make Duralast, Diehard, Bosch, Tough One, Champion, Advanced Auto, Kirkland, Prostart, Optima, most of the OEM batteries like Motorcraft Toyota, Delco, Chrysler, Honda, Nissan, and others. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in the CCA ratings either. The probabilities are high that the batteries you're considering are the exact same batteries, just different testing methods to get different rating. I personally use the Walmart batteries as any warranty so far has been flawless and there's a Walmart on every corner....or so it seems.
Thanks for your replies, I ended up going with the Die Hard Platinum after getting a 10% Labor Day coupon on the Internet. I had the local Sears automotive install it this morning, the warranty 4 year free replacement & the 930 cca sold me since I tow a 6x12 enclosed motorcycle trailer with the truck on far away trips & all of the electronic bells & whistles that the Harley truck has. The installer absolutely loved the Harley F-150 & thought I had made it that way. Lol I told him it was a factory truck from Ford, the look on his face was priceless! Thanks for the advise guys!
