Front axle swap

So I was out mudding this past week and came across a tenth gen F-150 that somebody had rolled and just ditched back in this trail area. It's a 4x4 and the question I am wondering about is, could you put a tenth gen front axle on an eleventh gen F-150? My truck is 2wd and I won't a 4wd and I figure this is the cheapest way to do it if it works. Everything is still on the truck (axle, front drive shaft, and transfer case.) does anybody know if this would work?

Even if it did, I'd just go get parts from an 04-08 so that you know they work. But only IF you can't just steal those parts . . .

If you don't mind stealing the parts, you might as well just grab the whole truck, because your going to need a lot of parts off it. You'll need transmission, transfer case, axles, all the front suspension, and them you'll need to make custom crossmembers and and do some custom work to mount all the suspension. It's not just going to bolt up.

There's probably a reason someone left it there though.

The owner left it cause he said it isn't worth his time trying to get it out of the woods. A 2500 Cummins came in this past week to pull the truck out of the river it's been in.

For what it's worth, you might want to give some serious consideration to a solid axle front axle conversion. You will need the T-case for sure. You might want to check with Advance Adapters to see if they can fab up something to match your 2WD tranny to the 4x4 transfer case...

I think it'd be too long like that giving the rear drive shaft a terrible angle.
