Would this injector cleaner do any harm?

I need to try and hunt down a P0171 code system lean bank 1 and I figure the injector might be the issue. I was going to use this injector cleaner but I want to make sure that it won't harm anything else like sensors or what not by using this cleaner.

Any experienced insight is welcome.

Will it hurt the engine?
Absolutely not.

Absolutely not.
It's 70+% kerosene and the rest is a light oil.
Yer looking for either Stoddard Solvent or a P.E.A, both are the best injection system cleaners available. You can find it in Gumout WITH REGANE, Techron, or BG44. The Regane is going to be cheaper.

I don't think BG44K is what it used to be due to VOC regulations. Not only that, it's expensive and hard to find at retail.

The FIRST thing you need to do to chase down lean codes is look for vacuum leaks and unmetered air entering the intake after the MAF.

It's just one of those things that's in the garage and I figured if it wouldn't hurt it I'd toss it in. Thanks

It won't hurt anything but you might as well put it in your lawnmower, it might actually help it.

BG44K still shows to be 40% kerosene, 40% Stoddard Solvent, and 20% PEA. Not quite as strong as it once was but still a very strong cleaner. Issue is availability and cost. The last I saw at NAPA was $28.00 for a can. Regane is about 30% PEA, works great and can be had a Walmart for under 5 bucks.

I stocked up on Techron a couple months ago when O'Reilly's had a 2 for 1 sale going.
