Rust

Have small rust developing on lower c pillars. I have a 2004 screw and it is located on the drivers side on the lower part of the cab to the rear of the back door. I have noticed other trucks 2004 and 2005 with the same problem. Going to get it fixed just wondering why a truck less than ten years old rusting.

Possibly because of the area you live in, near a beach and colder climate which means you probably deal with a lot of salt both from the water and the roads.

I've heard of a few people with this issue. I think, in the crew cabs, there's an area where water gets trapped down there and rusts from the inside. Could be entering via the third brake light. The super cab and regular cab do not have this issue.

That's what I was thinking, I never got the seal replaced. Do you think ford would fix the rust on their dime if the third brake light is the cause?

Unfortunately not. The corrosion warranty is for 5 years / unlimited mileage, I believe.

salt sits in the inner rocker and rusts them from inside out. didn't see your location though since I'm on the phone.
