Losing my mind over my truck!!! Looking for any help!

Ok, I have posted about this before, and I have been working on my truck for the past 3 weeks, now I know what to do. 2004 F-150 5.4L XLT.

Here is the 2 problems I am having:

1.) When going 40mph or above, my IWE's are losing vaccum and grinding (like ice in a blender), but if i let off the gas, it stops. Replaced the IWE, vaccum lines, and vaccum solenoid.

2.) Seem to have loss of power and mpg's, especially when towing my boat or camper. Usually when crusing down the highway, my truck will all of a sudden "lock up". My truck will sound like it has straight pipes and my RPM's will not increase or either will my speed, unless I power through it or let off the gas. ( sometimes this will happen when I start from a stop sign or red light).

So these are my problems. I have done reseach like crazy to see if anyone was having simmilar problems like I am having, people have them, but I cant find a fix for them. I was thinking that maybe they are tied together? maybe Im losing vaccum at high speeds? Took my truck in to test the catalytic converters and they are fine. PCV vavle? I thought maybe a EGR valve, but later found out my truck doesnt have one.

Looking for any help, need to figure this out!!

Thanks!

I have no clue as to what could be wrong with the 4x4 system.

Maybe you should pull the throttle body and give it a good cleaning. I didn't think this would help my truck but it really did with take offs and hesitations around the 1400RPM mark. I'm sure this is not the solutions to your problem but I wanted to offer some sort of help.

Perhaps someone else will chime in.
