Comments Regarding Work To Be Done on Truck

I have been told that the following needs to be taken care of on my truck and was just wanting to get you all's opinion.

Plugs and boots changed (first time and truck is at 103,000 miles)

Oil Change

Radiator Flushed

Brake Lines Flushed

Throttle Body and Fuel Injectors Cleaned

Replace belt (never been replaced and is cracking)

New "Loaded Compressor" for A/C

I started to smell a burning plastic like smell from my truck yesterday after I parked but could not find anything burning or smoking but the smell was very strong.
I have been told that that A/C Compressor is burning and ready to crap out on me and needs to be replaced, hence the "loaded compressor" for the A/C.

Does any of the above give anyone cause for concern?

Thanks!

The biggest concern I would have would be the plugs. They should be changed and if you follow the TSB and and loosen while using kroil or some other lube then you will need to change the oil afterwards. I changed mine bout a year or so ago but I used the impact method with 100% success so the oil change was not an issue. I have just over 100,000 on my truck now and I am still running the original boots without an issue.

If the belt is craking I would get the changed too and it does sound like you may have an A/C issue but I am not familiar with a "loaded compressor"?

The other things are probably good idea and should be done but I would take care of the plugs and problems first.

The plugs (and new boots) have been taken care of as well as the oil change.

The radiator should be flushed at 100,000. I would also change out the transmission fluid and brake fluid. The air conditioner, I would get a second opinion on just to make sure. The throttle body and MAF need to be cleaned as well. What year is it?

My truck is a 2007 with about 103,000 miles on it.

I am going to go ahead with the radiator flush, transmission and brake fluid. I am also having them take care of cleaning the throttle body and injectors. I am also having them replace the engine belt as it does appear to need to be replaced.

The other issue relates to the burning plastic like smell that is apparently being attributed to the A/C compressor
Last night I started to have the burning smell that I described in the first post. After a very thorough inspection by myself and father in law (who knows considerably more than I when it comes to cars/engines) we could not find anything so I mentioned it to the technician this morning.

The diagnosis was that the A/C compressor was burning and could lock up at any time. Of course his opinion is that he would not drive the truck as the compressor might lock up at any time and cause additional damage. As such I went ahead and told them to do all of the above as well as a new "loaded compressor".

I appreciate all of the comments.
