'04 SCrew Intermittent Shake

'04 5.4 SCrew 4X4 automatic. 90k. Has intermittent shake- coins flipping in the ashtray type-. Other than a leveling kit, truck is completely stock including tire size.

Does not shake on every drive.

Usually occurs within a few miles of a cold start.

Speed sensitive only to the fact that the faster you go the worse it gets but shakes at all speeds.

Shakes regardless of throttle position/gear.

Stop put in park & shut it off, then right back on- no shake.

There are a ton of shaking threads, but I cant find one with similar issues, any help is appreciated. Hopefully some one else has seen this and can give me a direction to start looking in. Right now I'm leaning toward something in the drivetrain, but keep in mind I'm an electrician not a mechanic.

Need to rule out misfires. Have the spark plugs ever been changed? If not, they are overdue.

Did you ever find out the issue here??
I have EXACTLY the same problem. Love to know your solution, thanks!

Just had new plugs put in, the problem remains. No difference.

I doubt you will get a reply, that is the member's one and only post and it was over 2 years ago.
