2005 FX4 leveling question

I recently bought a 2005 F150 FX4 and I want to level it and want to put bigger tires and eventually aftermarket rims on it. Just wondering if I should go with a 2 or 2.5 level in the front or a 3" with a 1" block in the rear. I would most likely go with 285/70/18 tires as the 33X12.5X18 might take gas mileage down too much. Does anyone have any pics?

Go with the 2 or 2.5" kit, the 3" causes excessive wear on the front suspension compared to the 2 and 2.5". You can find plenty of pics using the search function or looking through the wheels/tires forum.

Typically a 2.5" leveling kit on 04-05's & 2" on 06-08's to achieve the most leveled stance.

2 inch level with Bilstein 5100s and 305/60R18 tires. Saw about a 1 mpg decrease. See my album for more pictures.

Thanks for the pics. Ok, yeah I've heard that about the 3in leveling kits. I want to have somewhat of a front end rake, will I still have that with a 2in level? Some leveled F150s I've seen look like the front end is almost higher than the rear.

Yup you should, or you can always go with a 1.5" up front or add a block/aal in the rear.
