A quick preview

Finally got the blue instrument panel done......for now that is. It needs a little tweaking, but I'm taking a break from it for a while. It's a very consuming mod....especially if you're a little OCD like I am, LOL!
Here's a crappy cell phone pic.....can't explain the different shades and inconsistencies that show up in this pic, guess I'll just blame them on my phone's camera. I'll take much better pics tomorrow with my digital cam, but for nowName: 20130328_221300_zps18aeebdc.jpg

Thanks! Here's a close up of the four smaller gauges.....notice the mesh insert below them? I removed the trim piece that said SPORT and fabbed up the mesh screen.......the light shines through it perfectly. The entire instrument panel is custom. Again, for some reason my phone pics really suck....in person the blue light is very consistent. Better pics are on the wayName: 20130328_221333_zpsf42cdcdd.jpg

Looks great, man! Are you planning on pulling the AC/Heat module, so you can re color the dials/buttons there as well?

Great job--your truck already outshines mine but keep it up and I'll just stop racing with you lol

Looking good! Any chance you took some pictures and could do a small write up? This is one of those mods that I would love to do, but I am almost too hesitant to go tearing it all apart and mess it up.

Thanks dude....in time I plan on changing out all of the green lighting in the cab to blue. I've already changed the floor shifter gear indicator lighting......looks awesome!

Thanks man!
I did take pics and I plan on doing a complete write up on this mod....it's really pretty easy to do. I was definitely intimidated when i started my research well over a year ago and at one point I decided not to do it. But after coming across a "donor" gauge face that I practically bought for a song, it was time to tackle this mod. I'm super glad I did, and everybody that's seen it in person is blown away by the deep blue lighting.

Thanks, I really appreciate it! It looks so much better in person, hopefully when I take some pics with my digital camera they'll do it a little more justice, LOL!

Good to hear!! Do you plan on getting clear or silver needles so the light travels down them better?

The needles I bought are actually blue. The tach and speedo needles illuminate nicely, the smaller gauge needles illuminate but not quite as bright as the others. They're much easier to see in person, and I'm real happy with 'em. And in the daylight the blue needles look awesome....really fits the entire mod with that custom look. You'll see what I mean when I get some better pics up.
