Weird Heat Issue

Anybody ever have this happen? This morning on my way into work, I noticed that me heat was not working - blowing cold air... Messed with it for a while, nothing, no heat... So, I was curious as to if my AC would work properly - turned it on and cranked down the thermostat. Instantly got the cold blast I would expect from my AC. Then, when I turned off the AC and raised the thermostat back up, on came the heat... Anyone?

Maybe the blend door just had a "senior moment" and forgot where it was supposed to be?!

I think it is a blend door issue - I can hear it groan when it moves... Are they a costly repair?

I've had the same problem before, just the other way around. I was trying to AC and I was getting warm air, so I put the thermostat up to 90, got hot air instantly, then put it back down to 60 and got cold air like normal. It only happened for a day or two and hasn't happened since.

Sounds like the blend door actuator motor, had to replace mine two years ago. Easy fix, just tight getting to it. https://www.f150online.com/forums/hv...-actuator.html
