2011 5.0L into 04 5.4L FX4 4x4

Need information if a 2011 5.0L is a direct bolt into a 2004 F150 FX4 5.4L 4x4. Any information or experience on this swap is appreciated.

Direct bolt in how? You need to replace everything engine/transmission related. The frames of the trucks are the same for the most part so you might get lucky on the engine mounts lining up on the frame correctly.

theoretically it can be done...but as stated before the engine and tranny plus the transfer case and engine/tranny harnesses/pcms plus you'll need a ford tuning guru to help tie everything in and program the pcms....

a guy did transplant a frpp 5.0 into an adrenaline and it ended up being a $26000 price tag....

I have a coyote out of a 2011 mustang Im planning to put into a AC cobra kit car Im building , the thought has crossed my mind to put it in my truck since you can get a stand alone harness with pcm for the coyotes , however intergrating the tranny and other items would be a little tougher unless you had a stick shift....If you were planning on using the factory truck 5.0 harness then you will run into all kinds of speedbumps making it work with a 04-08 truck , be easier to find a rolled over/wrecked 5.0 f150 and transfer EVERYTHING over. For the money , rebuild the 5.4 with beefed up internals , supercharge it and end up putting more hp to the ground for less.

Thanks Vette454 88racing & others. I have a line on a 5.0l motor / 6spd trans comb from wreck with less than 2100KM for $5K. If need be I'd pick up ECU & PCM as well. However you make a good point that $5K would go a long way on a 5.4L rebuild and supercharger.
