edge tuner, now auto truck belt squeels when shifting???

my truck (05 5.4) never had any mechanical issues and sounded great, now i put the edge programmer on (level 3) and under full acceleration when it goes to shift from 1st to 2nd my belt sounds like its spinning / squealing....does this mean time for a new belt? or any common issues like this with anyone else that added a few hp from stock?

So did mine. Goodyear Gatorback accessory belt is the solution.

so i guess the edge does add a few hp if its causing the belts to all of a sudden squeel like that (assuming the increased rpm?)

It's all about the Gates belts. Handles my blown F150 and my Cobra with no squeaking and that's temps from -10F to 100F here in CO. Will never use any other belt.

It's not the added HP, it's the quicker shift. Engine is changing RPM almost instantly.

Its nothing to worry about unless you want the new belt. Mustang Gt's will make that noise stock.

its not HP
its shift hardness.

You can adjust the shift hardness in the custom settings on the edge programmer. Reducing the shift hardness would reduce the belt squeal.
