Idler and Tensioner bearings

Just replaced my 2 idler bearings and the belt tensioner bearing and WOW what a differance. I knew 1 was bad but thought i'd do them all anyway. 30 min job. Bearings press in and out no problem. I used 6203 *** bearings and they were only $6.00 Can.
Did some reading but couldn't find much on just the bearing replacement.

FYI ....

I also had the "whine" or "Whistle" at about 1800RPM when cold and it seems to be gone now. Read some people thinking it was the alternator and I think they may be right. Out today and it was a cold morning and no noises.

You should also find a slight improvement in gas mileage.

Was the belt tensioner bearing the same as the idler bearings? If i remember right when i did mine the tensioner bearing was a different size or it was one of them that was different.

Both idler and the tensioner bearings were 6203 and they press in and out quite easily. No clip just pressed. I used my vice to limit the force and they came out easily.

Grooved idler:

I had the same whistle on my 2005 and the dealer was never able to fix it under warranty. Shortly after the warranty ran out and I'd had enough, I replaced the alternator. Problem solved. Never got any money out of them.
