Swaybar End Link Bushing Replacement

A while back I saw a couple posts for replacement bushings. I used energy suspensions 9.8103G. The hole is just a couple of mm too small. I opened the hole with a 1/2" drill bit on a drill press. This requires working slowly and placing your fingers close to rotating machinery. I used a piece of wood to draw the circumference of the bushing onto the wood. The I found the center of circle so you need to remember your high school geometry. Lower the bit and then center the bit on the wood. Lift the bit and center the bushing in the circle. Holding the bushing with my fingers. I started the bit and worked slowly about 2/3 of the way down. This ensures the hole stays straight and is entered. Stopping the drill bit, lift and complete the drilling by pushing the bushing slowly up the bit with your fingers; the drill bit is in the air. Again, work slowly. The whole thing only took 20 minutes. The bushings fit perfectly on the end links, 2008 Ford F150 FX4.
