Master window switch/wiring issues

Hey guys,
I'm trying to track down an electrical bug in my power window wiring (which is not my strong suit). The rear drivers side window goes down with the rear switch but not with the master drivers switch. I was thinking simple fix, I'll clean the contacts. That didn't do me any good so I ordered a "like new" tested master switch from eBay. Still nothing.

My guess is I have a short in the wiring between the master switch and the rear power window motor. The wiring is yellow/light blue stripe and gray/orange stripe.

What is the best way to go about testing the wiring without tearing everything open? I'm guessing this wiring runs along the drivers side door sill up the door jam into the back door correct? Any insight would be great! Thanks guys

I would check for a broken wire in the rubber boot from the driver's door to the a-pillar, and next from the passenger door to the b pillar.

I am guessing the wire on the "down side" of the switch is broken in one of those 2 areas.

Well I pulled both rubber boots and all the wires looked perfectly fine. So I pulled the drivers door panel to inspect the wiring from the plug back; once again everything looked good. I decided to plug in the window switch and test the wiring for power. I put the tester into the bottom of the connecter, hit the button and what do you know it all the sudden works fine

I'm not sure how anything I did fixed this problem but it works and hasn't worked since I bought the truck so I'm happy

I inspected all the wiring I could see and there was not anything that looked bare or worn so everything it back together and working properly.

Thanks!
