I had some work done at a local shop today that I trust. I have a 2006 F150 4.6V8 4X4. The guy tells me there are some updates available and would cost $89 to install. He said they may help shifting and mileage, he also said that I may not notice any change at all. There was no pressure at all to get the update, he just wanted to let me know it was available.

My question is, are the Ford updates worth getting or not? Or "if it ain't broke don't fix it"? Thanks

 

I wouldn't have anyone but a Ford dealer reflash the computer, and then only if necessary.
