Walmart sell motorcraft filters. They are cheap too.

i would say its not the fram filter that caused it to be hard to get off. it was it idiot at walmart that over tightened the filter and probably didn't lube the oring. fram is also a cheap oil filter and i don't recommend using them. i personally use mobile 1 5w-20 oil with a mobile 1 oil filter. the filter cost a bout 14 bucks

Ive been using Valvoline full synthetic oil and sometimes a quart of lucas oil additive. I also use a motorcraft filter. Would NEVER use a FRAM.

I know it being FRAM wasnt the problem, it was whoever put it on. Just rediculise.

I'd also check the PCV valve too.

Yep, my 2008 Passat 2.0T is really bad about that. Even after long trips- for several hours -in the winter, I still have mayo under the oil cap. It's normal for that engine and just the result of tighter emissions controls and the PCV systems on today's engines.
